Mine Field

This may be the staff favorite. Partners work to direct each other through a series of "explosives" to reach their goal. The obstacles represent the things in real life that can trip us up, slow us down, mess us up, or even destroy us.

Evil Forces at work!

Not only do they have to contend with the visible obstacles... but the evil forces can certainly put a damper on our goals... unless we can focus on the right voices on the way through the mind field.

Cat Walk

Nothing like getting out of your comfort zone! Nothing like receiving encouragement from your peers when you don't think you can do it! Either way... it is one of the best natural highs... especially coming down.

Zip Line

This is certainly one of the favorite high elements. For many it is difficult to take that step of faith... into the unknown. However, when you do... you will feel the thrill!

Frustrated?

What a great name for an element!? However, in one word that may describe what many people feel during this challenge. Lots of FUN!

Lesson... "How you deal with frustration is the key to success!"

T - P Shuffle

This is a great element for developing good communication and support within any type of network. Participants will learn to deal with failures and successes as they work together to reach their goal.

The Wild Woosy

Need a hint? How long have you been trying? Believe me... you have to rely on your partner! Both of you at the same time. Great element for communication, support & teamwork!

The Dangle Duo

Teamwork makes the dream work. Bernick's Pepsi was a great supporter of our program. They came out to go through the course with corporate objectives in mind. They had no idea they would have so much fun in the process.

Some of the Volunteers

Our program wouldn't be possible without our volunteers!! They Totally ROCK! Check out the "Volunteer" page, and the "More about the volunteer" page to learn more about some of them.

Teambuilding in action!

After donating some materials to the course... this group from Good Year Tire didn't know what they were getting themselves into.

The Leap of Faith

How long would it take you to make the move? Standing out at the end of that platform... just jump out and grab that bar. Ready? One for the money, Two for the show, Three to get ready and Four to ?????

Catwalk... "Bird's eye view".

This is a feel for what the catwalk looks like when you get on the pole... just close your eyes and walk across... come on... ring the bell!

The Vertical Playground

The name speaks for itself. However, you don't realize its difficulty until shortly after you say, "Climbing" and your belayer says, "Climb on!" Good Luck! Remember... it is "Challenge by Choice" so you don't have to do this one!

Like Father, Like Son...

This is a classic picture. Ty always like to do, say, and even stand like Daddy!! Ty helps in the facilitation process during the Spider Web.

All Aboard...

Do you think 15 people could really fit on a 2' by 2' platform. This element isn't for every group... but it is a lot of fun... and potentially frustrating.

The Firepit...

With the help of Amcon Block we were able to pull this one off! Not only is it great for some discussions about how elements apply to real life... it is great for fires on those cold days.

The Nitro Crossing

This is the ultimate test in patience, perseverance, team unity, planning, and determination. Time is a factor... everyone's life is on the line!

Zip Line Crazy!?

Everyone wants to try more than once... but time is sometimes a factor. Mike Ross decides to make the best of his turn by going face first with a chest harness on!!

It is called, "Burning Forearms"

Again... it is "Challenge by Choice" but by the time a participant get to the top... their arms are burning. This is where the encouragement from group members is very helpful.

Giant Jump Rope

One or Two Jumps... that is it... all at the same time! Easy? Hard? This is often one of our first low elements because of the aspect of setting goals. Awesome.

OUCH!?

Not! At least not for this gymnast from the Northcrest Gymnastics Center. Getting into this position was no problem. Getting her foot out of the tire, however, wasn't as easy.

Match your efforts with your dreams!

This group gathers before one of the themes of the 2001 Season, "Match Your Efforts With Your Dreams". Hopefully this experience motivates each participant to work towards their goals.

Moon Ball

This is one of those elements that is fun... no matter what age! Another great element that challenges participants to think about the goals in their own life.

Four Way Tug of War

No Problem right! Do you think anyone ever wins? All they have to do is pull at the right time... huh Chris? This element is a lot of work, but the applications are powerful!!

"The Wall" 12' 9"

It can be done, but not without some planning and teamwork. Watch the team establish trust in the excitement of this element. What are the walls in your life that seem insermountable?
